Real People are far superior to Internet People. Real People give hugs, listen, laugh, and support freely, while Internet People attempt to wage war on the sanity of those who enter their world. As parents, we are vulnerable to war on just about every front: sleep training, politics, breastfeeding, diets, discipline, religion, medical care, education, and every little detail of life you could possibly imagine. You best be wary as you venture forth through your screen, lest you accidentally stumble into a was your didn’t even realize was occurring. I mean, you let your beloved innocent little lamb have juice yesterday!?!
Real People, they extend grace. Real Moms can discuss why we work outside the home or why we do not. Real Moms can appreciate the little things about the other’s situation as well as our own.
Amanda works full time as an architect. I don’t know anything about architecture, but I’m sure she totally rocks it. Danielle Geri Photography remains, by design, a part-time gig. Sure, I work, but not a nine-to-five-get-the-kids-to-day-care job. Guess what? We respect each other and had a whole conversation discussing the pros and cons of each situation. Delightful.
I left this session refreshed. Being with Real People, having actual conversations, and extending grace and respect is incredible. The delightful chat we had has been had by Internet People one-million times and every single time, it ends with finger-pointing, guilt, and envy. These online conversations are absurd.
Here is my challenge, when Internet People have waged an infuriating war you cannot handle, don’t engage. Get off Facebook for a while. Put your phone down. Do what you need, but focus on Real People around you. Real People are the best.

Danielle Geri Long
Among top Minneapolis newborn photographers, Danielle provides award-winning lifestyle photography to tell stories throughout Minnesota. Danielle often longs for the loveliness of the Twin Cities, while savoring country life just outside Monticello, MN. Danielle and Ryan are raising two delightful kids and attempting to reign in frequent over-committing, so they can do important things (like see each other and watch Netflix). Photography, once a creative outlet, has become a career they both contribute to at Danielle Geri Photography.
As one of Minnesota’s premier lifestyle photographers, Danielle love picture-taking in Minnesota's Twin Cities. Specializing in In-Home Documentary Lifestyle Photo Sessions, she gets a little giddy every time I leave home for lifestyle photo sessions. Telling the unique story of each client, forming new relationships, and pouring myself into every lifestyle session delights her. She is continually grateful Ryan takes on much of the business-y activities of Danielle Geri Photography, so she can focus on photographing her clients well. Contact them for information on availability, or hang out here for a little while and get to know her and the amazing things/people she love.
